Display Conditions

Show or hide any element based on server-side logic. Conditions are evaluated before the page is sent to the browser — elements that fail their conditions are never rendered in the HTML.

Condition types

Each row in the Ele Conditions repeater is one condition. You can add as many as needed and connect them with AND/OR logic.

TypeDescription
Variable comparisonCompare a variable (user role, post status, cart total, UTM…) to a value using an operator
Time interval (daily, HH:MM)Show the element only during a specific time window, every day
Date / time interval (YYYY-MM-DD)Show the element only within a specific date range

Variable comparison

The most versatile type. Choose a variable, an operator, and a value to compare against.

  1. Set Type to Variable comparison
  2. Choose a variable from the Variable dropdown (or select Type manually…)
  3. Choose an Operator
  4. Enter the Value to compare against

Operators

OperatorMeaningExample
== (equal)Loose equalityuser_role == administrator
!= (not equal)Loose inequalitypost_status != draft
=== (strict equal)Exact type + value matchis_logged_in === true
!== (strict not equal)Exact mismatch—
> (greater than)Numericcart_count > 0
< (less than)Numericpost_age_days < 7
>= (greater or equal)Numericcart_total >= 50
<= (less or equal)Numericcurrent_hour <= 18

Practical examples

What you wantVariableOperatorValue
Show only to logged-in usersis_logged_in==true

Show new posts only (last 7 days)post_age_days<7
Show posts with a featured imagepost_has_thumbnail==true
TIP
Use Debug mode (see below) to verify that a variable resolves to the value you expect before going live.

ACF / Meta fields

  1. Select ACF / Meta field (dropdown)… from the Variable dropdown
  2. A second dropdown appears with all fields found in your database — select your field
  3. If the field is not listed, select — type manually — and enter the field key

User meta fields

  1. Select User meta field… from the Variable dropdown
  2. Enter the meta key (the field name as stored in wp_usermeta)

Custom variable (manual)

Select Type manually… to enter any variable name directly. Useful for custom variables registered by your theme or a developer. See Custom variables for how to register your own.

Time interval (daily)

Shows the element only during a specific daily time window.

  1. Set Type to Time interval (daily, HH:MM)
  2. Enter From time in HH:MM format (e.g. 09:00)
  3. Enter To time in HH:MM format (e.g. 17:00)

The time window is evaluated using your WordPress timezone (Settings → General). Cross-midnight ranges are supported — 22:00 to 06:00 correctly spans 10 PM to 6 AM.

FromToEffect
09:0017:00Business hours only
20:0023:00Evening promotion
22:0006:00Night mode content (cross-midnight)

Date / time interval

Shows the element only within a specific date range. Both From and To are optional — leave one empty for an open-ended range.

  1. Set Type to Date/time interval (YYYY-MM-DD)
  2. Click the From picker and select a date (and optionally a time)
  3. Click the To picker and select a date (and optionally a time)
INFO
A date-only To value automatically extends to the end of that day (23:59:59), so the element stays visible for the full last day.

AND / OR logic

The Connect next with field on each row controls how multiple conditions combine.

SettingMeaning
AND — all must matchThe element is shown only if this condition AND the next are both true
OR — any must matchThe element is shown if this condition OR the next is true

Example — banner only during a Black Friday email campaign:

RowConditionConnect next with
1utm_medium == emailAND
2Date interval 2026-11-28 to 2026-11-30—

Debug mode

Enable the Debug mode switch at the bottom of the Ele Conditions section when you're not sure why a condition is passing or failing.

WARN
Always turn off Debug mode before the page goes live. The element stays visible for everyone while debug is on.
