Style Templates
Save any widget’s Style tab settings as a named preset and apply to other widgets of the same type in one click — across pages, templates, and sites via export/import.
How it works
Style Templates captures a widget's Style tab settings as a reusable preset. Applying overwrites only the style-layer settings — content and layout remain untouched.
Saving a template
- Enable Style Templates.
- Select a widget → Style tab.
- An ECS Style Templates section appears at the top.
- Style the widget, type a name, click Save.
What gets saved
- Typography (family, size, weight, line height, letter spacing, decoration, style)
- Colours (including Global Colour references)
- Border, border radius, box shadow
- Background settings
- Spacing overrides
- Responsive variants (tablet & mobile values)
What is never saved
- Content tab settings (text, images, links, repeater items)
- Layout / position settings
Applying a template
- Select a widget of the same type.
- Style tab → ECS Style Templates → pick from dropdown → Apply.
- Style settings are overwritten immediately. The editor preview updates live.
Linked mode
Instead of a one-time apply, link a widget to a preset:
- The preset styles are injected at render time.
- Updating the preset from any linked widget propagates to all linked widgets.
- Useful for enforcing a design system — update once, update everywhere.
Export / Import
- Export — downloads all presets as JSON.
- Import — merges presets from JSON.
- Delete selected — remove presets.
