Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Ele Conditions display conditions, triggers, and compatibility.

Where exactly are the Ele Conditions and Triggers sections?

In the Advanced tab of any widget or section in the Elementor editor. Scroll to the bottom — the sections appear just above Elementor's own "Responsive" section.

The condition is set but the element is still visible. Why?

Check the following:

  1. Is the condition correct? Enable Debug mode to see the resolved variable value.
  2. Are you viewing as Admin? Debug mode shows hidden elements for admins. Try an incognito window to see the visitor view.
  3. Is the page cached? Clear the cache after changing conditions if you use WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache, or similar.

Can I use Display Conditions and Triggers on the same element?

Yes. They operate independently. A condition can hide the element for non-logged-in users AND a trigger can reveal it after a delay for logged-in users.

Does display:none affect SEO?

Elements hidden by Display Conditions are not rendered in the HTML at all when conditions fail — search engines never see them. Elements hidden by Triggers & Actions are rendered in the HTML with display:none, so search engines can still index the content. Use Display Conditions for content you want to exclude entirely from SEO crawling.

Are Triggers & Actions visible to all visitors?

Yes. The trigger JavaScript runs for all visitors who have triggers attached. The effects depend on the trigger — first_visit fires for everyone on their first visit, A/B Group A fires for approximately half of all visitors.

Do visit counts and A/B groups work across devices?

No. Visit counts and A/B assignments are stored in localStorage in the visitor's browser — not linked to an account or IP. The same person using a different browser or device starts fresh.

The A/B test trigger doesn't seem reliable. Why?

  1. Confirm both elements use the same Test name.
  2. Confirm Hide initially is enabled on both elements.
  3. Test in a regular browser window — some private browsing modes disable localStorage.

Can I use Ele Conditions on Elementor Pro widgets and templates?

Yes. Conditions and triggers work on all Elementor elements — free and Pro widgets, sections, containers, and columns.

Is there a limit on conditions or trigger rows?

No hard limit. Each additional row adds a small amount of processing, but for typical use (under 20 rows per element) there is no noticeable performance impact.
